Arrive at Munich International Airport and transfer to the hotel. As evening falls, a welcome dinner brings the travellers together — the quiet official start of the Alpine Grand Traverse.
Pick up the Mercedes Marco Polo camper vans and drive Germany's oldest scenic road through the Black Forest, ~300km of deep pine and switchbacks, to a night at the Swiss border in Erzingen.

A boat tour at the Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen — Europe's largest waterfall — then cross into Switzerland for Lucerne: the Kapellbrücke, the medieval Musegg Wall and the Lion Monument.

Drive to Engelberg for Mt. Titlis: the world's first revolving cable car, a 3,020m summit, Europe's highest suspension bridge and a 5,000-year-old glacier cave. Night at Camping Jungfrau in Lauterbrunnen.

From Grindelwald, the Eiger Express gondola and the historic Jungfrau Railway climb to Jungfraujoch at 3,454m — the Sphinx Observatory, the Aletsch Glacier, the Ice Palace and the Glacier Snow Park.

Depart Interlaken for the Swiss–Italian crossing via the Gotthard or Simplon Pass. Arrive in Milan: the Gothic Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and aperitivo in the Navigli canal district.
A 2.5-hour Segway or e-bike tour of Milan, then 70km to Bergamo — the century-old funicular up to Città Alta, Piazza Vecchia at dusk, casoncelli pasta and stracciatella gelato where it was invented.

The big drive: north-east into the Dolomites where October turns the larches brilliant gold. Roughly 300km of passes, gorges and South Tyrol vineyard terraces into Bolzano.

The Brenner Pass climbs to 1,370m through the Wipptal, and the Europabrücke soars 190 metres above the Sill Gorge. The valley then opens into Innsbruck, ringed by the snow-capped Nordkette.

The Nordkettenbahn climbs to Hafelekar at 2,256m, the whole valley a map beneath your feet. Then the drive back to Munich, return the camper vans, and step into Oktoberfest.

BMW Welt and the story of the automobile under its double-cone roof, Marienplatz beneath the Glockenspiel, an hour lost in the Englischer Garten — and a farewell dinner that closes the circle.

Day 5The Eiger Express and the 1912 Jungfrau Railway climb to Jungfraujoch at 3,454m — Sphinx Observatory, Aletsch Glacier, Ice Palace and Glacier Snow Park.
Day 6The Swiss–Italian crossing via the Gotthard or Simplon Pass, where Swiss precision softens into Italian warmth. Evening at leisure in Milan.
Day 7A Segway or e-bike tour of Milan, then the funicular up through Bergamo's UNESCO Venetian Walls to Città Alta for casoncelli, polenta taragna and stracciatella gelato.
Day 8North-east into the Dolomites as the larches turn gold — 300km of passes, viewpoints, gorges and South Tyrol vineyard terraces into Bolzano.
Day 9The Brenner Pass at 1,370m and the Europabrücke, 190 metres above the Sill Gorge, then down into Innsbruck beneath the Nordkette.
Day 10The Nordkettenbahn to Hafelekar at 2,256m, then the drive back to Munich — camper vans returned, Oktoberfest waiting.
Day 11BMW Welt, Marienplatz beneath the Glockenspiel and the Englischer Garten — closing with a farewell dinner. Machines, mountains, memories.
Day 12Breakfast and a final transfer to the airport. Twelve days ago you were strangers to these roads; now the Alps live in your photographs.
